Photographs of Ancient Tibet
A portfolio of 20 haunting black and white photographs primarily made by Sonam Gyatso Thartse Ken Rinpoche (1930-1988), abbot of Ngor Monastery in Tibet in the early 50's, before the Chinese Occupation of Tibet.

These photographs were apparently taken in Tibet by members of the Tolstoy expedition of 1942-43.

Karsha Temple Restoration Project
In the Summer of 1996, the Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation donated funds to help the Karsha Lhonpo stabilize the structure of the Chuchikjyal Temple in Karsha, Zangskar. Rob Linrothe delivered the funds, and returned again in 1998. Progress was measurable. Here is his report and photographs of this ancient temple and its murals.

Lho Talung Monastery
The Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation have funded the Tibetan Heritage Fund in their project to restore and preserve the 15th century art historically significant wall paintings in this temple.
